What are Stabilized Mud Blocks? Stabilized Mud Blocks (SMBs) are an alternative green Building that can be used as an alternative to Bricks or ACC blocks. Bricks and ACC blocks used more energy to produce than SMBs. SMBs are made from a mixture of locally available soil, water, and stabilizers such as cement, lime, or fly ash. The exact proportions of each material may vary depending on the type of soil and stabilizer used, as well as the desired properties of the SMBs. However, a general guideline for SMB production is: Soil: The soil used in SMB production should be clayey or silty, with low sand content. The ideal soil should have a plasticity index (PI) between 10 and 20, and a pH value between 6 and 7.5. Water: The water used in SMB production should be clean and free from impurities. Stabilizers: The stabilizers used in SMB production include cement, lime, or fly ash. The amount of stabilizer used will depend on the type of stabilizer and the soil characteristics. Typically,...
Any one related to field
of Art & Architecture loves to see the work of great architects & legends of their particular fields & also wanted to learn from them. But it
is not possible that a student can go & travel the whole world & meet
each and every architect & learn from them. So, there is another way of
doing it that is watching their work & learns from their interviews & talks. “Architecture Documentary” is
a way of learning from your inspiration or idol architects.
DOCUMENTARY: Most
of the documentaries are either filmed on individual architect’s work of a particular
project. There are some documentaries which are base on architecture eras and
principles of designing. I don’t know when the first film was made but
according to me the first film is an American Short film dated back in 1967
& the name was “Monument to the Dream”.

known as the "Gateway to the West", is the tallest structure in
Missouri. It was designed by Finnish-American Architect Eero Saarinen and structural engineer Hannskarl Bandel in 1947 and built between 1963 and October
1965. It is 630 feet tall and 630 feet wide at its base. The supports are 54
feet wide at the base & 17 feet at the top of the arch. There is a unique
tram system to carry passengers to the observation room at the top of the arch.
